Breakfast Club/WrapAroundCare4U (WAC4U)  

Who runs Wraparoundcare4u?     

Rukhsana Ghori, Service Manager, manages Wraparoundcare4u at Dorney School. She is qualified in Childcare Level 2 (working on Level 3) and she is a First Aid provider as well as Designated Safeguarding Officer. She is ably supported by Hayley White (Senior Practitioner and permanent team member at Dorney) plus members of the team who have a range of relevant qualifications including Safeguarding, Food & Hygiene and EYFS, with some working towards their Level three, four and five qualifications. There are a minimum of two practitioners always on site. All staff are DBS checked. Both Rukhsana and Hayley are Designated Safeguarding Officers.  The team liaise closely with the school team.

What is included at the session?  

After-School Club                                                                          

Afternoon session 15:15 until 17:30 or a later collection until 18.30.  There is also a 1-hour session available from 15:15-16:15.

• Substantial healthy snacks i.e., pancakes, sandwiches, crackers, wraps, croissants, waffles, cold meats and cheeses, fruits and vegetables  
•  Outside play time and free choice play inside with a huge range of toys and games including Lego, Table Tennis, Badminton, arts and crafts and occasionally cold cooking 
• Completing 5 minutes of reading with a WACU member of staff  
• Enrichment plan (i.e. ‘Keeping Safe’, ‘Horrible Histories’ or ‘Mini Beasts’)  
• Fruit snacks offered at later session (17:30 – 18:30)   
• Group games and activities, role-play and dance, singing and drama as free-play

Breakfast club 

The first session is from 07.30 – 08.00 a.m. and includes a super choice of healthy cereals, toast and yoghurt. (Breakfast will be served to children attending this early session until approximately 08:15).  Children can then play until the start of school.

The second session is from 08.00 until the start of school.  (Breakfast is not included at the second session).

A variety of children’s choice games and activities are available with badminton, table-tennis and soft ball games - a very popular choice!  There is also time to catch up on any homework left over from the night before.  
 

How do I book in?  

• To register your child please go to the Dorney School website for further information.  WAC4U uses an online booking system called Magic Booking and this is an easy process to manage your account and book your sessions either daily, weekly, monthly or for regular bookings for the academic year.  There is a one-hour session from 15:15 – 16:15 only. This is available for parents wanting the first hour.  Childcare vouchers are accepted.
