The Little Village School with a Big Heart
Dorney School offers an inspirational environment that provides all our learners with opportunities to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in our natural setting. We have a specialised learning approach that compliments the wider context of outdoor learning. Our Forest School aims to promote the holistic development of all those involved, fostering resilient, confident, independent learners through play, exploration and risk-taking. This programme is led and supported by Fully qualified Forest School practitioners.
Since the start of Forest School we have explored our natural environment, built dens, built bridges, made hanging mobiles, autumn treasure hunts, played noughts and crosses with sticks and stones, made stone/twig towers, spider webs and nature bracelets. All of these have been made with natural materials from the grounds at Dorney School.
