Starting school for the first time information

Admission Applications

The school’s process for admission applications are handled by Bucks County Council.  Full details can be found on the admissions page of the Bucks County Council Website.

Buckinghamshire County Council no longer have a dedicated telephone contact number for parents to ring and discuss admissions. Parents are now required to complete the contact us request form which can be found here.  The admissions team will then contact the parent on the number provided.

The Admissions & Transport team will help you to make an informed decision as to which schools to apply for and how long the process will take by using the Find my child a school place form.

Visiting the School

The school holds open mornings during the Autumn term for parents to meet the Headteacher and have a tour of the school.  If you would like to attend, please contact the school office office@dorneyschool.co.uk

Should parents be unable to attend one of the open mornings, please contact the school office to make an alternative appointment with the Headteacher for a tour of the school.

Once a place has been offered, your child will have the opportunity to visit his or her class and new teacher, before the new term starts.
