Welcome to the Eco Council Page           

At Dorney School we are very passionate about our environment and are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by amazing grounds and nature. We aim to make Dorney School a school with children who appreciate the natural world and act responsibly towards the environment. The Eco Council is made up of two representatives from Years 1 - 6 in the school. 

Our 2024-2025 representatives are: Scarlett, Zhuri, Avaani, Brettly, Keira, Oscar, Eimear, Kaine, Aarav, Isabelle, Ffion and Jacob. 

Each September, we elect a new team and come up with an agenda for the academic year ahead. Our Eco Council meet once a term to discuss ways to reduce, recycle, and protect our environment. They work to achieve our eco action plan and raise awareness of green issues within the school. Our eco councillors are responsible for litter picking around school and sorting our recycling every day to make sure we are looking after our environment.

At Dorney School we are very lucky to have regular Forest School lessons and a Gardening Club which all helps our children learn more about and appreciate the environment.
