Respect - Collaborate - Grow
Welcome to the Dorney School Parent-Teachers Association (PTA). We are a registered charity that fundraises with a variety of events during the school year to enhance the experiences of our children. Last year we helped the school purchase new books, IT equipment and assisted the gardening club.
We meet regularly at 7.30 pm at the Palmer Arms, Dorney. Dorney PTA have an open door policy and we welcome new faces, so why not pop along. Whether it’s being a committee member, suggestions for events, donations, occasional support, or matched funding from employers, all your help is greatly appreciated.
Any comments or suggestions for fundraising ideas can also be left in the PTA post box (situated at the back of the school on the wall opposite the bike shed) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

PTA FUNDRAISING UPDATE / NEXT EVENT...
Firstly, A Big Thank You for all your donations for Bag2School last Thursday - we achieved over 580kg and raised over £230 so well done everyone. We will do another collection In a few months time.
Secondly and very excitingly, attached is the Summer Festival and Camp Out on Saturday 22nd June 2019 flyer.
We hope as many of you and your friends and family can come along. This is one of our biggest fundraising events so don't miss out on a fun afternoon of bbq, activities, music, raffle, games and to be part of the much anticipated Dorney School Camp Out!
After half-term you'll receive more information about booking your Camp Out pitch along with Summer raffle ticket books.
The Friends of Dorney PTA mission is to create great events for all of us in the Dorney School community but importantly, to raise money that goes towards educational projects for all our children to benefit from.
And on a serious note, we do need plenty of willing helpers. Without helpers we'd be forced to cancel events. With this in mind, please keep some time free during that day (helpers needed before, during and after) and look out for the Helpers Board on playground/on class facebook groups in run up to event and please put your name down!! It's easy, fun and just takes up an hour or so of your time (or more if you can!).
If you have any questions or ideas please contact your class rep on:

The next PTA meeting is scheduled for 8.00 p.m. at the Palmer Arms, all welcome.
