Covid - Procedure re Bubble/Class Closure

Bubble/Class Isolation procedures:

If we have a positive test result during school hours:

  • The class affected and all adults in the class must stay in their classroom.
  • Public Health England will be notified
  • An urgent Parent mail will be sent out to all affected parents – see the template below
  • All admin staff to wear PPE
  • Parents may use the car park to pick their child up; however, parents must be sensible driving in and out of school. Pupils will have to walk by themselves to the parent waiting outside via the side playground gate
  • Class staff and admin staff will ensure the safest and quickest route from the isolated classroom to the car park
  • If this is before lunchtime, admin staff will ring parents affected as well as sending a Parentmail
  • If it is after lunch, a Parentmail will be sent in the first instance and depending on number of admin staff available, a phone call may be made too
  • Once pupils have left, affected classroom staff will go home too
  • Isolated staff will set online lessons as soon as practicable (based on DfE guidance)
  • Parentmail to be sent out to all school parents, governors and Wrap Around Care for You (WC4U) to inform them of bubble/class closure
  • Parentmail to be sent to bubble affected with further advice and instructions
  • The affected classroom will be deep cleaned
  • Parents will notify Dolce and WC4U if they are affected

  • Parentmail will be sent out to notify all parents, governors, and WC4U
  • Any child of the affected bubble who turns up at school will be advised to go home
  • Parents will notify Dolce and WC4U if they are affected

If a child tests positive outside of school hours:

  • Parent must email school immediately and ring (leave an urgent voicemail if call is not picked up)
  • Public Health England will be notified
