A message from Miss Davies and Mrs Lee

Dear Parents,

Firstly, thank you so much for your support and understanding at this time. It has been lovely to see the work that the children have been completing on Purple Mash - they really are working very hard! We hope you are also enjoying some time as a family in the sunshine as well as completing the tasks that have been set.

Please continue to use Purple Mash, completing the 2Dos that have been set - it has been lovely reading little messages to us from the children when they have completed a task! There are some other websites you can use during this time such as Joe Wicks The Body Coach YouTube channel for some indoor workouts, Times Tables Rock Stars and Numbots as well as using the booklets sent home in their home learning packs. Please keep up your reading too, including listening to the audible books if you would like to.

Please email the school for any questions or queries and it will be passed on to us: Dorney School - office@dorneyschool.co.uk

We are sure you are doing a fantastic job at home 🙂 wishing you all the best

Miss Davies and Mrs Lee

Welcome to our Year 2 class page!

Year 2 is a very exciting year! We are going to be learning lots of fantastic information and there will be plenty of new skills to learn, we cannot wait to go on a fantastic learning journey with you!

Class Routines:

Spellings and home learning will be given out on Fridays and will be collected, at the latest, on Wednesday. Spellings will be assessed the following Friday and you should be able to see how well your child has done.

Water bottles and snack boxes will ensure your child has access to refreshments during the day.

All personal items must be labelled so that we can return lost items to correct owners.

PE is on Thursdays and we will try and organise extra PE sessions over the week so do please ensure your child has their PE kit left at school.

Please make sure you have full PE kit in school on a Monday ready for the week.

PE kit includes:

  • Yellow/Dorney School T-Shirt
  • Green shorts
  • Dark coloured jogging bottoms
  • Dark coloured sweatjumper
  • Trainers/Plimsoles
  • Socks to change into

All long hair must be tied back for school and earrings must be taken out or covered with tape (to be supplied by parent)

Thank you for stopping by!
