Respect - Collaborate - Grow
Children from Dorney School in Dorney Reach have volunteered to clean the car park where they meet every Wednesday and Friday for “Walk to School” along the Jubilee River.
The littering has become a major problem here and all along their route which is usually a lovely scenic route. Sadly, the littering has now become an eye sore and many concerned children asked their Eco teacher Mrs Strydom, if they can do something about it!
Children, staff and volunteers from the community all gathered early before school in an attempt to clean the area. They all did an amazing job but some areas were just too difficult to reach so some litter had to be left stuck in trees or bushes. Dorney School is also taking part in the National campaign - The Great Big School Clean where they will clean the area around their school as well as the local park.
